Well I am sitting here
Just looking back
On summer days
And sunsets past
Like forgotten dreams
That didn't last
So few come true
Before they pass

For like the dreams
We hope to find
Love to can change
And pass with time
Leaving someone close
Left behind
To wonder in hope
Of better times

For of all the dreams
I hope to find
A forever love
Is one of mine
Someone that I can hold
And know the feeling
Will always grow

And the times I sit alone
After trying to hold
A love too long
I sometimes wonder
Why I even tried
Until the pain of leaving
Starts to die

Now I am sitting here
